After teasing fans since the release of her tracks, on Friday (May 4) Nicki Minaj finally dropped the music videos for both ‘Barbie Tingz’ and ‘Chun-Li’.
Kicking off with ‘Barbie Tingz’, the visual sees Nicki taking on various roles and costumes. Looks include a Marionette-style queen and the leader of an urban dance troupe, whilst the rapper is also seen as a puppet on a string. Directed by Giovanni Bianco and Nicki herself, the ‘Barbie Tingz’ video allows Nicki to showcase some of her slickest dance moves too.

‘Chun-Li’, on the other hand, was directed by Steven Klein and has a very striking opening. The track shares its name with the popular Street Fighter character, and Nicki pulls off some moves that Chun-Li would be proud of. Once more, Nicki dons some eye-catching outfits throughout the gritty video, including neon lights and diamond encrusted offerings.

Vertical videos for both ‘Barbie Tingz’ and ‘Chun-Li’ had already been released however, the official videos definitely bring the power of the songs to life.
