Jennifer Grey posted a "pretty rare still" on Wednesday with Patrick Swayze taken on the set of "Dirty Dancing," which showed the young actress and her co-star fully clothed in bed rehearsing a love scene.
Fans of the classic 1987 movie thanked Jennifer Grey for sharing the Lionsgate image; one reminisced, "Just the best memories," and another wrote, "It's a lovely photo."
"The chemistry you two had is enough to last a lifetime! Best movie ever!!" an Instagram user wrote. "No on-screen chemistry has ever this powerful," a second agreed.
Patrick Swayze Tearfully Apologized to Jennifer Grey Before "Dirty Dancing"
When Swayze died on May 20, 2009, from pancreatic cancer at 57, Grey remembered how he had done his own stunts and was not surprised that he fought his cancer prognosis in a courageous and dignified way. She said he was a "real cowboy with a tender heart."
Having just filmed 1984's "Red Dawn" with Swayze in the Mexican desert for three months, Grey was not enthusiastic about being around his on-set pranks and "macho" energy again when his name was brought up for "Dirty Dancing," she revealed on "The View" last year.

Host Whoopi Goldberg was in stitches as Grey recounted how Swayze took her aside before their screen test and tearfully said that he was sorry for his past behavior. She knew he was "working her" but gave in, adding that he was "the easy chair" she had been dreaming of as a scene partner.
Grey told PEOPLE in April 2022, "The same way Baby and Johnny were not supposed to be together … a natural match, right? And we weren't a natural match. And the fact that we needed to be a natural match created a tension."

In hindsight, she wishes she could apologize to her co-star for not appreciating who he was instead of wasting her energy wishing he could be as she wanted him.
Jennifer Grey will take another spin in Baby Houseman's dancing shoes for "Dirty Dancing 2." She said in 2020 that Swayze's character will not be recast as they cannot repeat that "magic."
