Everyone thinks they know everything there is to know about Kaley Cuoco, the lovable and hilarious Penny from The Big Bang Theory. She also spent several seasons starring as the very snobby, very self-indulgent, very self-absorbed Bridget Hennessy in the hit ABC series 8 Simple Rules. She’s been in various shows and movies in her 29 years, but there are so many things people don’t know about her. Right now people are well aware of the fact that she secretly got married, she’s living her dream and she is one of the highest paid actresses on primetime television. You can say she’s had a successful life, and she’s been very good at what she does. And the good news about Kaley Cuoco is that even though she began her acting career when she was still a teen, she has managed to keep her life in order, keep it together and not fall prey to the unfortunate occurrences so many other young stars do anymore. Here are just a few surprising facts about this young, successful actress you probably did not know.
She’s a Tennis Star
Growing up, Cuoco loved tennis. She began playing the sport when she was only 3, which is quite impressive. She was so good at the sport, and loved it so much that she was actually a regionally ranked athlete who could have gone on to excel in the sport successfully had she not given up playing professionally back in 2002.
She’s Got a Famous Sister
Did you know that Cuoco is not an only child? Well, she’s not. And she’s not the only child in her family to spend time on television. She has a younger sister who was a contestant on The Voice during season 5. Briana Cuoco was on Blake Shelton’s team during her reign on the show, but she did not place as a finalist.
She’s a Relationship Lover
Cuoco is happily married now, but she has been in her fair share of interesting relationships. She dated Johnny Galecki, her costar on BBT for two years when their characters were also dating. They called off their relationship in 2009 and remain good friends. After him she dated another man and was engaged for roughly 6 months before ending that relationship in 2012. A year later she began dating Ryan Sweeting, a professional tennis star (shocking?), got engaged three months later and married three months after that.
